I booked a guided fishing trip for my husband as a surprise for our anniversary. He absolutely loved it!! Marv was our guide and he went above and beyond to make sure our day on the lake was perfect. I can't recommend him and GSO Fishing enough!! They were an absolute pleasure to work with. Marv knew everything to make sure we caught plenty of fish and the types we were looking for. Wanted to experience a fishing adventure unlike I have been used to. Being a little out of my comfort zone, Randy was a great help. Not only did he try to teach us tips and tricks. The trip was never dull. We were always on Salmon. Definitely will be returning. If you haven't booked your trip yet, do it!
As soon as I learned you could catch a salmon in Colorado I HAD to give it a shot. Andy gives you the best shot. He put us right on this fish on his clean and comfortable boat. He was patient with us as my girlfriend had never been fishing before and I had lots of questions about the different fish. It was a 5 star experience for a great price
We so enjoyed our wonderful fishing trip with Andy today. It was my son’s first time out and it couldn’t have gone better! We caught and released numerous trout and kept 2 salmon. Recently fished with Randy. A class act. Professional. Put us ON THE FISH. Never had a dull moment. A little cold but we didn't expect Randy to control the weather. What he did control is how he put us on fish. We limited out on Browns, caught and released several more and had several Salmon to grill up that night as well! A great fishing trip. You won’t find anyone in the state of Colorado with more knowledge about Blue Mesa and fishing in the Gunnison area than the team at GSO. This team knows the lake like the back of their hands and work endlessly to give you the best fishing experience possible. To top off the unmatched knowledge they are great people and will treat you like one of their own!
If you have kids that want to go fishing this by far the best option in the State. Big, comfortable and safe boats fit the entire family. The guides all have tons of experience with kids of all ages and literally the youngest of kids can catch fish with these guys.
Cody was at the parking area ten minutes early after having got to the lake early and set up our shelter and drilled holes. I have been ice fishing two previous times and first time that camp was set up ahead of my arrival “that much more time with a line in water”. Cody had great equipment including electronics he was continually changing lures and colors to entice a bite. I had a great day catching 11 Lakers . Will defiantly book next time with Cody!
Went with two other buddies to ice fish for the first time. Cody took great care of us! He was out on the lake at daybreak setting up the tent, etc. We arrived, jumped on the snowmobile and our adventure began ( we were in the best spot in the middle of the lake!) So beautiful.
Cody was great at explaining everything, setting up the perfect space for three plus him , and was engaged in our ice fishing experience the entire time ( taking care of our lines and bait, trying new lures, always adjusting). In 3- 4 hours, we caught probably 30 really nice size trout, the largest a rainbow that measured 20 inches. It was incredible fun.
Cody took care of our comforts, starting up a burner about mid morning when my line shaking was not intentional.
We have had many guides and some are too busy being proud of what they know to really help you experience their world even for a morning. Cody was excellent! From the first phone call which he answered, to every detail, it was frankly just easy.
We always try to do something we have never done on our "Boys" trip. This will be one of the lasting memories ....still talking about it... it was really super cool!
I will be back in the fall and I will tap Cody and GSO for some salmon fishing for sure.

Went out with Andy to chase some salmon! He put us right on some fish! This was not your typical Florida charter boat where you dangle your line off the edge of a packed boat. This was exciting enough for an experienced fisherman to enjoy and learn something! The scenery was great , the fishing was great! Can’t recommend enough
This company is top of the line for me. They know the fishing business and all that it implies. Not only do they have a great guide service with knowledgeable staff members, they go above and beyond to make your trip a memorable one. Each time I have went out with them I have gained more info about what tools to use and baits, lures and what ever else to hook the fish we are after, and hook them we did!!! The video tips I have been observing on the website has been giving me the itch to get back out on the lake so I can try out the lure line that they have designed. From the pics on the site they look like they are top quality and do the trick.
I have to give these guys a golden hook for the fantastic work and total devotional time when they do guided trips with kids. They teach them and show them a fantastic time and it shows by the wide smiles while holding their catch. Stormy and Andy and your team gets 10 golden hooks from this lady. The guys and gals at GSO offer some of the highest quality fishing equipment on the market. We’ve used their jigs in Western Colorado for trout and smallmouth since they were introduced and we’ve been impressed ever since. The hook and paint quality is unmatched for longevity and sharpness.
Andy and Stormy are also extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Their knowledge of the Gunnison valley spans from river to lake from years of trial and error. I recommend folks to reach out because they are always happy to help.

My wife and I have been blessed over the last two years to have close friends visit from St Louis. We have enjoyed hiking, jeeping and exploring what Gunnison has to offer. But one thing that has quickly become a must for us is a fishing trip with "Captain Andy" and GSO Fishing! Andy was able to take the eight of us out for a beautiful day of fishing on a boat that is more than antiquate to handle our large group. Always professional and courteous while being patient and understanding allowed our group to connect together, to laugh at each other and put our devices aside. Looking forward to our next trip and we would highly recommend GSO if you are looking for a day or two on the lake!
A group of lifetime friends and I had been trying to find a an activity we could all enjoy and centrally located as we are spread all over CO. We came across GSO and looked like a perfect adventure. It turned out to be even better than we imagined. From the start, scheduling and customer service was top notch! Once we met at the boat launch it was on! Andy was our awesome guide who took care of everything once we launched. We were fishing moments later and had fish on the line almost immediately!! It was a blast, everyone landed multiple fish and were able to truly enjoy the experience with such great support from the GSO team!! We will defiantly be back!
Andy and his guide staff have a wealth of knowledge on fishing blue Mesa with countless days and hours spent on the water. There jig heads are second to non all in all what a great company.
Year ‘round for multiple species, GSO handcrafted jigs and TRG trailers catch more fish than any other lure set up I have. These lures are incredibly durable and with the specifically designed hooks for each use, the ratio of bites to catches is exceptional.

Had the pleasure of hiring GSO and Andy for a guided fishing trip last fall on Blue Mesa. Very impressed with the experience and professionalism of Andy as well as the equipment in use. If your wanting to see what the lake is all about and enjoy a care free day on the boat I highly recommend GSO. The fishing was pretty darn good also!
I have fished with these guys numerous times. The first time was my Birthday. Andy had all the Gear, his boat was clean and in perfect working condition. He put us right on the fish and we were slaying the salmon in seconds. My fathers wife was taking a nap with her pole in her hands and she still caught a fish! The next time was my Birthday again and I had all my family with me including my 2 little niece's. We were catching trout left and right 1 after another. Once again Andy had it all dialed in! My nieces had a great time and were tired from catching so many fish. Great memories I will never forget!
I have been using there jigs for about 2 yrs now and am very happy with the performance. The hooks and baits are perfectly designed to allow for maximum Lip Ripping! I don't use anything else. I would highly recommend there guided trips and equipment to anyone. These guys plan and simple know what they are doing!

I have always wanted to explore and fish the Blue Mesa. When an opportunity came to gather some friends and visit this area, I was stoked. We found GSO Fishing and reached out to see if they could accommodate my group, they did so very graciously and then they went ABOVE AND BEYOND our expectations. Andy got us on fish almost every cast, we had a blast. They know the lake and they are awesome, I have and will recommend them to anyone wanting to have an adventure in this amazing part of CO!!
